📌 Application Process

I applied for the Coforge Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) role through my college internal placement portal.

Within a month, we received an email from HR informing us that the Online Assessment (OA) was scheduled for the next day.


💻 Online Assessment (OA)

The OA was conducted on the Mettl platform and consisted of two parts:

1️⃣ Aptitude + Coding Test

  • Aptitude: Medium level
  • Coding: Easy level questions
  • Platform: Mettl

2️⃣ Verbal Test

  • Conducted on the Mettl platform
  • Focused on basic verbal and communication skills
I appeared for both tests as scheduled.

📊 Shortlisting

After about one week, our college announced the results:

  • Out of nearly 1000 students, around 150–200 students were shortlisted for the interview rounds.
The interviews were scheduled one month later and conducted on campus.

🗓 Interview Structure

The interview process took place over 2 days and consisted of 2 rounds:

  • 1.Technical Interview Round
  • 2.HR Interview Round

🧠 Technical Interview Round

  • Duration: 20–50 minutes
  • Focus areas:
  • Resume-based questions
  • One logical puzzle
  • One easy coding question
The coding question was based on topics such as:
  • Strings
  • Arrays
  • Sorting
  • Linked Lists
The interviewer mainly tested:
  • Basic problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of data structures
  • Clarity of concepts from my resume
The interviewers were friendly and supportive throughout the discussion.

🧑‍💼 HR Interview Round

Duration: 10–20 minutes

The HR round included basic questions such as:

  • Introduction
  • Hobbies and interests
  • Strengths and weaknesses
  • Resume-based HR questions
The discussion was simple and focused on understanding my background and personality.

🎉 Final Result

On the second day in the evening, the final results were announced:

  • Out of all interviewed candidates, 46 students were selected for the Coforge GET role.

  • Very positive
  • Friendly and supportive
  • Well-structured and transparent
The interviewers and HR team made the process comfortable and encouraging.

For students preparing for Coforge GET interviews:

  • Practice easy coding problems
  • Prepare puzzles and logical reasoning questions
  • Be confident with resume-based questions

🏁 Conclusion

Coforge’s interview process was smooth and beginner-friendly. It focused more on fundamentals and communication skills rather than very difficult technical problems. Overall, it was a great learning experience and a well-organized on-campus recruitment process.
